At its core, motorcycle racing is a one-person affair, not a team sport. When the green flag drops and riders race down to Turn 1, it’s one person on one bike against everyone else on the track. However, the path up to that moment when the flag drops is a path that is paved by the work and support of many people and companies. Below is the list of companies that have proven critical to the work of our race team. They’ve supported us and we encourage you to support them!

The Classic Bike Experience (CBE) is where all the TSR wrenching happens. Jack Manning and Nick Woodbury have piles of knowledge on British iron (Norton, BSA, Triumph) and while they’re not two-strokers, they know a thing or two about engines. This space provides heat in the winter, barbecues in the summer and Wrench Nights every Wednesday. CBE is a community of guys who love old bikes of all types.

Cometic has been in the game for a long time and probably has some number of gaskets in every performance racer out there. Mike Sauer from Cometic has worked closely with TSR in helping to determine the correct gasket material for the given application. From high temperature Cu head gaskets to Aramid fiber, Viton encapsulated (to name a few mediums), Cometic has a solution for every sealing application.

The Crank Shop in Essex Junction has been at the heart of TSR’s engine development since Day One. Larry has handled all of our precision machining, crank rebuilding, lightening, and performance modifications, forming the foundation of every iteration of our race motor. Larry’s decades of experience with two-stroke motor work and attention to detail have allowed us to consistently build reliable, high-revving engines that can withstand the demands of racing. The Crank Shop has been an essential partner in turning our ideas into race-proven hardware.

In 2025, TSR’s rider, Peter Booth, met John and Colin Davies of Davies Motorsports at the 2025 Isle of Man Classic TT. They were campaigning a T500 and what started an general conversation ended up in a mutually beneficial situation with TSR sharing our motor modification with them and them helping us with our chassis situation, the last piece to our bike development. In 2026 we’re running their JADA frame, swingarm, and rear shocks, providing a strong foundation that balances rigidity, geometry, and feel for competitive road racing. All while shedding over 30lbs in weight. Davies Motorsports has a proven track record at the highest levels of classic racing, fielding top riders and race-winning machinery at the Classic TT and at other road events around the UK.

One of the areas that we wanted to explore with this build was having the capability to quantitatively assess the thermal state of the engine. HGSI applications engineer, Neill Murphy, came up with the perfect solution for us by recommending their dual input pyrometer which processes Type K thermocouple input signals for both CHT (cylinder head temperature) and EGT (exhaust gas temperature). These digital gauges come in the standard 2.125″ form factor and pack a ton of functionality.

Race Tech is a long-established leader in suspension performance, and their components show up in everything from weekend track bikes to full race programs. Their fork internals including Gold Valve cartridge emulators have been a key part of TSR’s front-end development, giving us the front end performance needed to stay competitive across a wide range of tracks and conditions. Working with Matt from Race Tech’s vintage race department, TSR has been able to fine-tune damping characteristics and spring setups. Race Tech has given us the tools that let us turn a good chassis into a race-winning package.

We cannot say enough great things about this company. I remember running Wiseco pistons back in the ’60s (remember the blue box?) Here we are in the 21st century and they continue to be at the forefront of the performance piston market. We worked closely with lead design engineer Tom Davis from Wiseco on our Aussie racer and designed a thru-piston boost port design which came out amazing!
